Hello everyone! Merry Christmas to you, you, you, and you. I hope you all were able to get everything you wanted for Christmas. Just remember that Christmas is more about family than it is about gifts. While good things come and go, family will always be there in your heart forever.

I know it's been awhile since I've posted. I missed a couple of Sunday Hot picks for the music. To be honest. No time. My work has me busy Mon-Fri. On the weekend, I just want to go out. I don't want to be near a computer on the weekend because I'm on one for 60-80hours a week. It's all good though, I'll try my best to keep up with this blog.

Happy Sunday everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful thanksgiving. Even if you don't celebrate this holiday, I hope you at least spent time with friends and family. Thanksgiving is really the time to sit back and relax and thank those for such a fortunate life. My mom has a plate that is older than me, but it carries a special message-"Thank god for dirty dishes. While others may go hungry, we are eating well." Sounds good right. Coolness.

I checked my email this morning and Bank of America sent me a notification of some fraudulent charges/irregular activity shit going on my credit card. I called about the issue and some bastard tried using my card to open up an account with Match.com. WTF!!! Talk about desperate. Now, if the criminal used the card for food, gas, or a high purchase I would be like ok that's normal. But Match.com? Come on man. What a loser. Anyways, I got the whole situation under control. Thank you for BofA for their fast and immediate response. Your customer greatly appreciates your business.

Moving on...

It's sunday. You know what that means? WRONG!!! It's the Sunday-What's hot and what's good segment. Today, we have some killer tracks I'm sure you will love.

First off we have an awesome punk girl group named "Hangry and Angry." These girls have style. I didn't notice it at first, but the girls are from Morning Musume!!! Yoshizawa Hitomi and Rika Ishikawa is rocking the mic y'all! Their song Kill Me Kiss Me is nothing like their personalities from Morning Musume. They are more aggressive in this track. I have to be honest, I like it! If you haven't copped it, watch it!

Hayai bentobeatbloxin' readers! Karate chop to the jugular. Just kidding. It's been awhile since I posted. Seems like I post once a month eh? I'll try to post more. I promise. My friend called me up and said "you haven't been updating your blog, huh? Ya know, I'm tired of seeing the same people." He was referring to the post with the picture of the cast from Last Friends. Haha! So, to Kenjiboy, here's a post that will send the last post down south.

Let's get to it. I have two videos for you that I'm sure you'll love.

First we have DJ Komori featuring the very fine Chie of Foxxi Misq and blackanese artist Emi Maria. The song is called "Flash" and this track is bangin'! Check yo' urban dictionaries if you don't know what I'm sayin'! Check it!

Last Friends

I'm a little late on this one. You know the saying though, "it's better late than never."

This Jdrama is called "Last Friends." While I was in Japan, I watched this show with my fiance. This drama really touches home with the reality of the rising numbers of domestic violence among the many women in Japan. Who would've known eh? I didn't think such a thing was so prominent in Japan. Well, that's just me being ignorant. Knowledge is power people. Keep yourself educated.

Anyways, this drama is a tale of a beautiful young woman named Aida Michiru who is down on her luck. She is bullied at the Beauty Parlor where she works at. Eventually she finds support with a man she befriends, Oikawa Sosuke, a child welfare division worker. Michiru falls in love with this person only to find the relationship gets a little sour and becomes a victim of domestic violence. Alas, Michiru is not a loner. She has friends who support her through trying times only they too get caught in the middle of Michiru and Sosuke's quarrels.

Last Friends is a drama that will have you feeling angry with a clenched fist. It makes you want to beat the shit out of Sosuke for beating his girl. Tackling what happens under Domestic Violence is no easy subject, but Last Friends covers it from head to toe. This is a drama that you definitely don't want to miss.

After hours. Bored. Need a hobby or something...

Man, it's true when my professor said "after a month or so of working at your design job, its going to kick in, yah know, panic... because after work their is no homework. Suddenly you realize you have a lot of time on your hands. Now what?"

My professor was right on the money. I come home and do my normal routine. Eat dinner, turn on the tube and watch some cnn. Check some emails. Check my blog. Hit up youTube and watch a little SNSD and some jpop vids. Finally, sleep. My routine is getting a little boring. I need a new hobby or something.

I did pick up a "Learn Japanese while you drive" audio cd. So far it has been very helpful. I listen to it while on my morning commute to work. So far my favorite phrases are " Ima jya nai." This means "not now." Another phrase is "Kono kanji dakedo motto okii desu." This means "It's like this only bigger." haha! nam sayin'? I love this cd because it gives me something to do while driving. I definitely recommend this cd for the people who commute. It's convenient and worth giving a try.

I'm slowly moving back towards music only because I'm concerned for my older bro. He is unemployed and all he does is play his god forsaken Call of Duty game in the dead of night with the volume on blast. I'm tired of hearing "Our UAV is online" as well as my brothers constant cursing. I love my bro, but man please learn some respect for the people that live with you. Turn the volume down please.

The reason I'm moving towards music again is because my brother needs an income. I suggested selling beats $25-$100. You know, at a price people can afford. Say if you sold 10 beats for $100. There goes a $1000 in your pocket. I mean we have a vast library of beats we can sell. Easy right? Well, my brother needs a little push.

It hurts me when he says he hasn't touch the music or at least tell me he's working on the music, but doesn't. I'm doing my part in trying to get him some customers, but I'm not sure if he's doing his part to complete the transaction. I want him to succeed, but in his eyes I see that he is not fully confident in himself.

Granted my bro can be annoying most of the times, but that's what many brothers do. The thing I don't want to see is my older brother fail. He is smart and intelligent, but he doesn't have the confidence to push himself to his highest potential. Is it age? Is it low self esteem? Is he ashamed of his life? He shouldn't be because he has people around him who loves him for himself. Me, I show my love in a stern 'a-hole and sarcastic sort of way, but that's how I am. Underneath that sarcastic bullcrap is nothing but a lot of love for my bro. If he ever reads this, I just want to let him know that I got his back. He has to promise me though, no bullshit and no slacking, and no getting side tracked. If music is his passion, then he should put his heart and soul into it. Godspeed brother.

Speaking of god, I started going back to church on Sundays. Lately, I've been blessed with a lot of things. A new job, a new car, and a beautiful fiance. I can't thank the man above enough for blessing me. That is why I'm going to try to make it my weekend routine to go to church on Sundays. God has been good to me. I just wanted to show my appreciation. Keep in mind you don't have to go to church all the time. As long as you have faith in your god then nothing can go wrong. I'm Catholic and my fiance is Buddhist. Nothing wrong with that. I was raised to never look down on anybodies religion. It is what it is. If you got a problem with someone's religion then you have mad problems buddy. Anyways...

Hello everyone. Today was a crazy day at work. We had a tight deadline for our companies website and that thang was just overwhelming. I had overtime for 3 days straight and finally finished. It felt like school all over again. Good thing we have an awesome crew to get the website done for our head boss to see. I have to say that even though this project was overwhelming it was exciting and fun. I was like a little kid holding in my giggles. When I was driving home I had the urge to just burst out into laughter. It was funny because the laughter came out quite psychotic. Almost like a mad scientist laugh. In words, it looked like this: MMUUHUWAHAHA!

Well, I'm glad to be finally home. My fiance sent me a link of the new video from SPONTANIA featuring JUJU. The song is called "君のすべてに" (Kimi no subete ni). I believe that translates to "You're my everything." I love this song! It sounds great. Check it out!

Lately, I've been looking around blogs and seeing some of the predictions I have made when I had my old blog "Dont Touch My Jpop" come into fruition. It was kinda like I had an "I told you so" moment but reality checked in and well, nobody really visits my blog. Haha! I'm such a loser. Anyways, popularity is not a goal of mine for this blog. I knew from the beginning these girls were going to be something great. It's been two years now and the fame that these girls are receiving is never ending. These girls are everywhere and are always growing in numbers. The old school girls that have been there from the jump are looking super kawaii than ever. Ever since "Skirt, Hirari" these girls were cute and had the potential to be something great. I'm proud of these girls for getting this far in their music career. I have to say the beginning cut scenes did not make sense, but was pretty revealing. Well, sexual and suicidal at most... It was almost like Maeda was about to have sex for the first time and it didn't go too well. Man these Japanese people are crazy, but you gotta love it. Another prediction I made was about Morning Musume's member Koharu Kusumi.

I predicted that she would be hot and the "it" girl of Morning Musume. Man...this girl has blown up! From sexy and revealing magazine covers/photo shoots to day time shows to jdramas. There is no stopping this chick and for good reason. She's cute, ambitious, and doesn't give up. A lot of people had many expectations and doubts about Koharu in the past, but she surpassed any obstacle that was given to her. Omedetto gozaimasu Koharu chan!

Today is a sad day. A good man I knew who put his heart out for the city I live in has passed away.

There are no words to describe how I feel about this. This was a man who wanted to make my city better. He wanted to give back to the youth because many of them end up in gangs, jail, or in a body bag. He was our hope for bringing peace to this city. My question is why? WHY? How does this type of thing happen to such a great person? Damn...I'm tired of these thugs and gangsters and the lifestyle the mainstream seems to glorify. This is not the way to teach our kids. That lifestyle does not teach respect in a civilized manner. It only teaches kids, "You cross my path, I'll kill you." We should be showing kids that their is more to life than being "gangsta" or "thugged out." Kids don't know they have options. I'm going off tangent...I better stop before I get too personal.

Ladies and gentlemen,

I've been inspired by a great man whose vision has brought me back home to America. Barrack Obama. This man is the vision of a new America. His vision of an America that is unified, equal, and, most importantly, about the people is something right out of a Martin Luther King dream. Obama is that person to make those dreams come true for us Americans. Let's face it, our economy and our well being is as flacid as old mans penis(sans the viagra). Hell, we are so broke we are borrowing money from China to help us bring our economy back.

We need someone who is strong and willing to thrust his mighty staff at the government, lobbyists, and dirty corporate phucs and tell them "enough is enough." Stop phucking with the American people. You're own people and give back to them. Don't send jobs overseas just to save a buck. You do that and what happens? Americans lose jobs. BTW 8 years is enough! If you watched Obama speak or if you've been keeping up with the Democratic National Convention (DNC) you know what I mean.

It's time to take this country back! This is the year of the Democrats. (I should say its the year of the American people) I've been a proud Democrat since 1993 when Clinton was president. Clinton did a wonderful job before his little incident. Aside from that, he was one of the best damn presidents this country could ever have. Obama will be the continuation where the Clinton Administration left off. I truly believe he will lead us to a better and brighter future and under his presidency will help move forward in building a better America.

BTW, did you see that one emotional chick at the DNC two days ago who said she is a "hardcore Democrat" and said because Hillary is no longer in the race she may have to stay home and not vote. FUCKING BULLSHIT!!! To me, that is not a true Democrat. She really pissed me off. This lady is missing the point. I think she wants another 4 more years of Bush's failed policies. Policies that will be proceeded by McCain if he does get elected. To that biotch, listen to yourself. Are you willing to put America through 4more years of war? Are you willing to put America in the hands of a person who would like to see your money fund this war in Iraq instead of using it for furthering the American education system? Are you willing to put your families financial future at risk all because Hillary didn't win? Lady, you are full of shit and a freaking coward. Didn't you hear Hillary Clinton say "No way, no how, no McCain?" I guess she was taking a shit while she made that speech.

Anyways, VOTE OBAMA. This coming November get out of your house and vote. If you are ready for a change vote Obama. If you are ready to take our country back and give it back to the people vote for Obama. If you are tired having to struggle to hold down the fort at home and at work vote for Obama and he will do his best to help you. Be inspired. Be ready for change. Dream big. Well, it looks like I survived the first week at my new job. So far I have to say the work itself is easy. The only thing I have to get used to is the process of how things work at the Print shop. Overall, I think I'm going to like this job. It keeps me busy plus the time goes by really quick because I'm having a fun time designing. Soon, I'll be interacting with customers. I have to memorize the pricing and procedures. There's a lot to take in and consume but I'm not worried though. I feel confident that I can do it. Gambarimasu! So the next step for me is to try to become knowledgeable about the companies graphic services so I can verse it well to the clients. It's going to be one hell of a ride but damn its fun! Speaking of rides, my 2009 Mazda3 is off the heezee beezee! I finally have a cd player to play my music. My old car had a tape deck which sucked bcoz I wanted to listen to my jpop which were on cd's. Now that I have a cd player it's been nothing but Crystal Kay, CSJH, Mflo, and Monkey Majik. Life is great.

Oh, a couple days ago I stopped by the mac online wesbite to look for new widgets and I came across this page for a music widget...

...and what do yah know. Monkey Majik's lyrics for "Around the World" are displayed on this page! Cool desune? Got to love dem Japanese speakin' white boys from Canada. I love hearing Blaise Planets voice. He has this vibe to his voice that makes me want to break out and sing. I had their song "Together" on repeat and I think in one commute drive I have memorized the song. Crazy. Great music.

Alright it's time to start the weekend. I have to figure out what to do. I don't have to worry about homework or anything this weekend....oh wait...it's pay my bills weekend. damn....

Hello folks! Today was my first day for work with the company I applied for. For privacy issues, I will call my job the Print Place. So far it has been a bit overwhelming, but that's a given for the first day on the job. I have to learn a new system on how to handle files. I'm sure in time I will be comfortable with the process so I'm not worried at all. I finally got my own plans for Medical, Dental, and Vision. I'm definitely excited about that. Overall, it was a good day until I hit lunch time. As I was buying some Taco Bell I couldn't find my ATM card. I was like "Sh!t!" I ended up using my toll money to buy lunch. That reminds me, I have to sign up for FastTrack. That way I don't have to go the bank every weekend to scurry for toll money. After I found that I couldn't find my ATM I became a little antsy because I usually don't lose stuff. When I got home, I looked around my house. Nothing. Looked on my account online to make sure nobody tried to use my card. No activity. Then I went to the last place I was at when I last used my card. Drove to Kinko's. Nothing. Came back home, look around my room and YAY!!! I found my ATM card! It was camouflaged in the mess of my room. I didn't see it the first time. I'm glad I checked twice. Errr four times. I have to clean it again. Anyways, my bday becomes good again. Happy happy desu!

Well, tomorrow is going to be another interesting day. I hope I get to do some actual work. I'm excited to do some graphics and fixes. Just to let you know, "fixes" are jobs that some designers hate doing, but it has to be done. Remember if your printing with a printing press remember to read the directions carefully about cuts, bleeds, and safe zones. Make sure to get it right otherwise your file will get kicked back and you would have to submit it again the right way.

I got a new car!

Wassup folks! Genki? Me? I'm super genki! Why? I just bought a new car! Check it out y'all!

This is a 2009 Mazda3. This baby is off the hook. We got a damn good deal on this car. When I say "we" I'm talking about my dad and I. I have to give it up for my pops. He is a great negotiator. If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't have been able to get the car at the price I got it. I'm so happy. My old car was a 1999 Ford Escort. We had some good times. I definitely will miss my old car. To tell you the truth, it was hard to make the transition because I really liked my Ford. Thus, with this new car I will make sure to treat it like I did with my old car. I'm gon' ride it till the wheels fall off. Time to ride!

So for the time being, I won't be able to go out for a month or two. I want to build up my funds again because I have another important event coming soon. My fiance will be coming soon so I want to make sure I'm good with my money to support her. Like I always say, it's going to be a journey, but I'm up for the challenge. Like my fiance says "gambarimasuyo!" Take care everyone.

This Monday I officially start my new job. This morning I felt the need to design because it just occurred to me that I didn't really design anything since I came back from Japan. I was like, man, I better brush up on my skills or else I won't survive in this industry. So in light of my little situation I made a small 8.5x11in poster. This poster was really just for fun. I GOT THE JOB!!!

After a nut crushing week, I've finally received a call from the place I applied to. Guess, what? I got the job baby! YEAH!!! I'm stoked, excited, waku waku desu, and crazy happy right now. Yesterday, I was with my good friend AspirationsAdvancement and we ran into the people who interviewed me at PF Changs restaurant in Emeryville. My friend said, "bro that's a sign man." At first I was like, maybe, but then when I got the call that made everything come together. Btw, sorry for the run on sentences. I'm too excited to write perfectly. Anyways, I officially come on board Monday. It's going to be an experience for me because I never worked in a real Graphic Design studio. No matter what happens, I'm ready to take on whatever task they give me. I'll do my best. I'll work hard for my fiance, our future, and life. It's going to be one crazy road ahead, but I will never give up. Gambarimasu!!!

Well, today I spent it on my bed watching movies and drooling over the olympics. I was so lazy today. I guess it was just one of those days. I was going to call my good friend at Aspiration Advancement to hang out, but I just did not have any energy. I need to get my arse up! Need energy...

Anyways, did you see the intro for the Olympics in China? Damn, that was soooo cool! I have to commend the producer who put that together. I'm so amazed at how so many people can coordinate themselves and become in synced with each other to create something that was so memorizing. Simply beautiful. I'm having trouble finding a good video that showcases the intro. With tight rules on copyright, we probably won't catch any cool vids until after the games are done. I'll just be optimistic and hope someone will post some vids up soon.

Back from Interview Two

Man what a day. Today, I had my second interview with the company I applied for. Again, the interview went well. A couple of things I should have brought up, but I was too excited to think. I got a chance to meet with the major heads of the graphic services department. Everyone seems very nice. Very laid back. I was dressed in a suit. The employees rocking ecko and other flashy name brands. I was like, huh. NICE!!! No suit for me please! Anyways, during my interview I suddenly fell sick. I thought, maybe I'm nervous or hungry or I had gas. It turned out that I had the good ole' diarrhea. Yuck right? Sucks...So I was sitting there being interviewed and I was just dying. I felt like fainting, but I had to keep strong and do my best to make it through this interview. Long story short, came home and well...yeah...shitz city.

The graphic services manager said he will give a call next week to let me know whether or not I got the job. I'm praying that I do. I need a job to support my fiance once she comes. I need a new car too. I'm so ready for a new car. I really want to buy a Mazda3 5door Hatchback.

I've been eyeing this car for a while and I'm just in love. If I get this job, I'm going to buy it. My 1999 Ford Escort SE is failing me right now. I'm due for an upgrade. The stock rims already look crazy hot, but I want to swap them for 18's or 20's inch rims. My future car is going to be hot! Watch for it here on Bento Beat Boxing.

Let's move on to the vids. I came across this rap group from Sweden while researching Diversidad. If you don't know what I'm talking about. Check a couple posts below this. It gets into the whole unifying Europe ish. This group is called LoopTroop. They've been out for a while, but they are new to me. Check it, they can rap in both Swede and english. The rap more in english though. Man these white boys can rap! Definitely great sounding Hip Hop. The weird Jesus looking dude 'Promoe' got flows. He should battle Emenim. I wonder if he can hang. Well, I just had my first interview with the company I applied for. It was intense. Although, I have to say that I wasn't nervous at all. Everything felt like it went smoothly. I answered all the questions to the best of my ability and had a good time conversing with the person interviewing me. I guess they like me because I'm scheduled for in-person interview for Thursday! YATTA!!! I'm excited. There's going to be more people this time. I'm pretty sure they will be critiquing my work and see how I interact with others. Ya know, the good ole filteroo. I think I'll be ok. I just have to be myself....quirky and nerdy. haha! The recruiter said he'll call me tomorrow to schedule the next interview so I'll be patiently waiting for his call. Yeah!!! I just got a call from one of the companies I applied for in Oakland. I have a phone interview tomorrow! YATTA!!! I'm so happy. I have to prepare myself mentally. I must admit, I don't like phone interviews. I'd rather be face to face with the person interviewing me. In this case, I have to get comfortable. Mostly, I have to be prepared and come into the interview without being overly enthusiastic. Of course, I want to show them I want the job, but I don't want to come off as 'this guy sounds like a lot of bs.' Yah know what I mean? Good evening everyone. Well, its been a couple of days on the job hunt. Still, there are no replies...Kanashii(sad). Today I applied for the Graphics Coodinator Position with Williams-Sonoma, Inc., SF. The position is right up my alley. I was running down the list of objectives/qualifications for this position and I believe I can deliver on them. I'm confident I can deliver. Again, wish me luck. I'm going to need it.

This weekend, I got bit by a mosquito on one of the worst parts of my body. My BIG toe. It really sucks. I made a mistake by itching it. Now, my big toe is swollen. Itchy itchy! I have to stay focused. No more itching. Focus...

Also this weekend, I've been working on my website. Lately, I've been thinking that my website needs to show more of me. I'm talking about my personality. When you get to know me I am a little weird, quirky, and sometimes animated. These personality traits I want to portray in my new website. Man, Europe is capturing my heart with their hip hop music. This particular track has brought me down to what hip hop was about when I grew up. Hip hop to me is a unification of people. I can't speak for every American, but don't let the media trip and beseech you. Vote for the person you believe will be the best candidate to run this country. I'm for Obama not because of all the media hype. I'm for this candidate because I truly believe he is about making changes that are beneficial to the American people. Unlike the other candidate. Japan Pics Prt 3: The Goodies

Hello folks! Welcome back to the last photo installment of my Japan trip. Many memories were made while I stayed there. I got to see lots of beautiful places and people. I got to see my girlfriend...errr Fiance (I'm still getting used to saying that). More importantly, I became an engaged man. If you haven't seen the ring. Check my first photo post of this trip. Alright let's get this started. Today, we'll cover the goodies. Check them out!

From left to right: Fukuoka's Soft Bank Hawks Baseball cap, Tower Records Uchiwa, Music and Animation Mags, and 100yen Notebook. An assortment of gums: Glamatic, CoolMint, Citruline, Black Black, and Xylish. Anpanman face towel, Ring Necklace, Golden Good luck charm, Japan Golden Geisha Spoon, Chop sticks, and ear cleaners. Most of these items where bought at the Hyakuen store in Fukuoka. The Hyakuen store is similar to our 99cent and Dollar Tree stores in the US. The baseball cap, spoon, and good luck charm was purchased at the Narita Airport. I almost missed my flight in Narita. I was lost and couldn't find my gate to my flight. Luckily I found it within minutes of my departure.
DVD's: Kamen Rider Movie THE NEXT and Dororo. CD's: Matt Pokora and Jyongri. The Kamen Rider movie was off the chain! The movie started out like "Ju-on," but later got into some major action. My fiance actually sent me the Dororo movie last year. I wanted to put it up because I just never had the time to post it on this blog. I have to say that it was a pretty damn good movie. Shibasaki Kou and Satoshi Tsumabuki always make a great pair.

While I was out in Tenjin I bought Matt Pokora's album. I guess he's hot in Europe right now. Can't complain, his cd is nothing but fire. He got Timbaland and Ryan Leslie on the tracks. This Frenchie got it made. Don't worry this is his International album so he's singing all in english. Be sure to check out his French tracks. Off the hook. Nuff said! Jyongri's album "Love Forever" is also fire. Her ballads are sung with grace. She definitely has improved since her first album. Unchanging Love is definitely the best song on the album. Lullaby is also another beautifully sung slow song. I have to say Jyongri is a hottie! Too cute!
This page is from the animation book I bought. If you haven't heard of Onechanbara, check it out. This movie was based on the XBOX game that came out a couple years back. This game/movie is a mixture of sword swinging zombie killing action with sexy gals and evil syndicates. I've never played the game, but I saw some cut scenes on YouTube. So far, the game looks impressive. As for the movie, it really looks cheesy. The acting and effects look cheesy too. I guess I have to wait until the dvd comes to give my full opinion...
My fiance bought this Pop Teen magazine for my sister. I took a look at this magazine and damn these girls are hot! Nuff said.
Here's a page from the Pop Teen magazine. Sexy eh? Page after page, its nothing but cute ass chicks. Girls out on the Tenjin streets look like this. I'm not talking about the bikini gear. Though that would be a nice sight to see. I'm talking about the beauty these girls have. Tenjin is definitely a single man's paradise. Anyways, you can probably find this mag at your nearest Japan Town shopping center.

Well, that's pretty much it. Sorry I didn't put any personal pics of myself and my fiance. The reasons are personal ya dig? Anyways, I hope you enjoyed my pics from Japan. Oh, I've changed my name from the Bento Beat Boxer to THE AMAGI WALKER. Hope y'all don't mind. The name was actually given to me while I was in Fukuoka. A lot of the Japanese people and my fiance's parents knew I walked around a lot in Amagi. When my fiance had work I would spend at least 3-4hours walking around the town in the hot humid weather. Even though I would be dripping with sweat, I didn't care. Walking around Amagi is an experience unlike any other. It is something that everyone should try...at least on a cooler day. Moving on...

I was also thinking of changing the name of this blog. Its too damn long plus its too similar to Bento Beat Box on the Anime Network. I'll inform you all soon of the change. Take care everyone. Peace!

Japan Pics Prt 2: Food and Drink

Welcome back folks. Today is part two of my Japan trip. This time we are going to cover food and drink. Lots of delicious foods and drinks that I came upon in Fukuoka, Japan. Let's get this thang started eh? We'll start with the drinks.

Healthya is actually a gross drink, but when it comes to hydrating your body it really works.

Super Cool was a refreshing drink. Not my favorite. It had a little 'ting' to the taste.

Aquarius is my most favorite hydrating beverage by far. The taste is just phenomenal. I wish they had this drink here in the states. I'm craving for it right now!

I believe this is called Gallon Fighter 3000. Similar to the 5hour energy drink. This bad boy packs a kick and doesn't make you drowsy.

Soniq is sports drink. Like most drinks it has a lemon like flavor.

This is my second favorite drink in Japan. Pocari Sweat gives my body perfect hydration. The weather was hot and humid so this drink came in handy to keep me hydrated.

Dakara is a healthy drink. This one was sweet and a little tangy like lemon.

My fiance's mom did some cooking for me while I was there. She's a damn good cook.

If you're in Japan and never experienced the restaurant Joyful. You are missing out buddy. Joyful mainly bases their food around hamburger.

This little dessert you can make at home. It's shaved ice with strawberry flavor topped with condensed milk. Oishii oishii!!!

At this particular noodle joint there was this guy sitting next to my fiance's dad and I. He was smoking and reading a sex magazine. I thought that was kind of odd especially in a family oriented place. Then again, I'm just a gaijin here so what do I know eh?

While we were at Tenjin we stopped by this all you can eat Italian restaurant. I forgot the name. I have to get back to y'all on this one.

This was at Donkatsu. I had the variety katsu plate. The katsu to the upper right was oishii. It was filled with cheese in the middle. Ahhhh, makes my mouth water. I'm hungry now...

This omelet was too good! It was a rice and cheese omelet with curry sauce.

Lastly, is dessert. A brownie with vanilla ice cream. Oishikatta desu!

Well I hope you all enjoyed this fun food filled adventure. Going through these pics is just making me hungry. I miss Japan already...

Japan Pics prt 1: Landscapes

Sorry for the delay. This is going to be a 3 part post. This one will cover more landscapes and other random images. Too many pictures man. I want to put them all, but that's impossible right now.

First off, my trip to Japan was out of this world. I stayed there for a good three weeks from June 18-July8. I got to interact with the Japanese people. Did some shopping. Saw a lot of cuties at Tenjin. I ate a ton of delicious foods. Saw the most beautiful landscapes. Did I mention, I'm engaged? That's right. Your boy, Bentobeatboxer is engaged. June 23rd was the day I proposed. Pietro's at Canal City Tenjin was the restaurant where it all happened. Definitely a happy time for me and my fiance. Its going to be a struggle dealing with immigration and filing papers. Not to mention all the fees I'll be paying. It's all good. I'll just be happy when my fiance finally arrives. Wedding details will be posted as soon as we get started on planning. First things first-Get my fiance to the USA!

I forgot what mall this was, but they had a car dealer on the 12th floor. How they got the cars in there? wakaranai. Anyways, this Mitsubishi car is off the chain! Let's hope that this car hits the states.

Konnichiwa my fellor bloggers and bloggettes! I'm finally back from Japan. It was an amazing three weeks of fun and pleasure. I took many pictures which I will share in the next post. Minna san Konnichiwa! Tomorrow I head out for Japan. I'll be in Fukuoka for a good three weeks to spend with my girlfriend. I miss her so much. It's been a year and half since we last seen each other. It's going to be an interesting vacation this time around. We're going to hit the clubs, theme parks, and eat at plenty of restaurants. I can't wait. I've been waiting for this moment for a long time. It's going to be great being there. I might not be able to post the next couple of weeks. I'll try my best to. I kinda missed it by two days, but HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my blog! It's been a year since I put BBB up. This blog was my getaway from school work, classes, and stress. We've gone through some interesting journey's and I hope that we can continue to go on more journey's in near future. To all my readers....(eerrr their's probably just one or two that read my blog? maybe? haha! its all good) thank you for reading and I hope you will continue to read this blog.

Now, what's the future for BBB? Well, I think its time to get the BBB name out there. I haven't really been promoting my blog because I never had time to. With this temporary new found time I will be doing my best to get BBB off its feet and find more readers. I'm not expecting a lot from this blog because it really is just for fun. As long as I can help people on their way to finding their new found love for Japanese, Korean, and French music then I've done my job.

As time nears for my trip to Japan, I gather the necessary educational essentials:

I'll probably watch some "Let's Learn Japanese Basic" with Yan san. It's going to be another crash course my fellow bloggers. It's alright though. I just got to keep studying. I got a week and a half to study. Nihongo ha benkyo gambarimasu!

Well, this weekend was pretty cool. My friend and I went to the city of San Francisco. We checked out Japan town, Sony Metreon, and the Fiesta Filipina event over on Post Street. Here's a couple of pics from that day.

This day was a little crazy. We parked hella far from Post Street. We must've walked 6-8 blocks before reaching our destination. We were lost for a bit. We ending up near the slums. I got a heat rash on my left arm and my got sunburned. Damn, what aaaaaa day.

To end this post here's a video I found this morning. It's the Acoustic version of Perfume's song 'Macaroni.' I don't know who is playing the guitar, but I have to give props to whoever did. This song sounds so refreshing when played acoustically. I amazed. I only wish we can here Perfume sing over this track. That would be kakko ii desu!

Graduation. Just rambling in spurts

Well, its official. I've graduated from Sacramento State. I have to say it feels good. No classes. No more sleepless nights. Life is going to be good. Oh, here's a picture of my classmates and I during the Sacramento State's Department of Design Show.We've gone through so much together. I'm gonna miss them so much. I promised to keep in touch with all of them. I wish the best for everyone here. I hope that we all find our own individual successes in life to keep us happy and sane.

This weekend was crazy. Party after party after party. Too much Grey Goose, patron, and vodka in my system. Surprisingly, I wasn't that drunk. Maybe I was. Anyways, enough about drinking. I've finally got a chance to catch up with some old friends. I had a little graduation party on Saturday. Here's a pic from my graduation party with some of my good friends .I love these guys and gals to def. Props out to my boy Ben who couldn't make it. He's up in New York doing his thang.

A lot of people have been asking me, "yo B! now that you've graduated, what's next for you?" Well, vacation first of all. As most of you already know I'll be in Japan for three weeks. During my time there I'll be proposing to my girl. I don't know how I'm going to do it, but I'll make sure I do it in a creative way. I already bought my girlfriends ring this weekend. I'll reveal the picture after I propose to her. I'll keep y'all updated on that. After that, its time for a job change. I'll be looking for a graphic design job when I come back.

Its going to an exciting ride y'all. I'm finally becoming an adult and becoming more responsible as a person. I never thought I could make it this far in life. I think without such great friends, family, and my girl, I would be sitting on my ass not having a clue about life. I want to make everybody proud so I'll be doing my best and giving it my all for everyone. Especially for my future wife. Like I said, I'll definitely keep you posted on what's going on with the BentoBeatboxer. Moving on...

No more classes! Motivation.

Woo I'm officially done with classes! I was going to enter this entry yesterday, but after I got home around 800pm I fell asleep. Woke up. Saw the time. Next thing I knew, It was 430am! Man, I must've been exhausted. Well, I haven't slept in the past two days. Not healthy at all, but it was worth it. A good friend of mine who was in the design program dropped the program not to long ago. He put his health on the line for this program that eventually led to his breakdown. I didn't even know he was going through a lot pressure and stress. He didn't really say anything. I only wish I could've caught him sooner to help him out. Graphic Design is a fuckin' hard ass field when it comes to concept, creation, and implementation to final the application. I don't think many people realize that. Anyways, no matter what your major is, remember that your health is important. Don't forget that. Remember to have people around to motivate you too. The only thing keeping me alive in this program was my girlfriend. I thought about her every time I felt like giving up. I didn't want to let her down because that's where my hearts and future is at. What I'm saying is find your motivation to keep going.

My fellow bloggers. This is my last week of college. My last official day is this Tuesday. After that, I graduate Friday. I'm holding my breath. I'm almost there. I can finally reenter the public and have an actual life again. I'm looking forward to going out again. What I really want to do is hang out with my friends. I haven't seen them in so long. The Graphic Design program really takes its toll on your social life that you don't have time to hang out. I also want to hang out with my brother and hit the music studio up. If you are not in the know, you got to get up to speed with these guys. This group is called UMin and they are one of the most creative japanese dancers I've seen. They're movements are intricate, animated, and detailed. I'm amazed with their routines in how they sync their movements to the beat. These guys made their American Debut on Missy Elliots video "Ching-a-ling. Check out their routine they did for the Japanese clothing store Uniqlo. Damn thats hot!

Let me introduce to you another japanese girl group, Perfume. This group consists of 3 girls whose names are Kashiyuka, A-chan, and Nocchi. They are a japanese techno pop trio that, well, has captured my heart with their kawaii digitized voices and wowed me with their innovative videos. Their style of singing is very cute and fun. Even in their live performances they still maintain their digitized voices. You know, I'm a sucker for techno music. I've made some techno music back in the day. Graduation...Healing relations...Starting anew

I just bought my cap and gown today. I'm excited that graduation is near. 3 more months to go and well, GRADUATION!!! My teachers have pushed me to the limit. I'm glad that they are. They showed me that I am capable of things I thought I could never do. For that I am thankful. The journey is not yet over though, I still have to pass my classes! As long as I stay inspired and have good friends and family around to support me then I'm fine. It took me 8years( Long right?! haha!) to graduate college but, I'm glad I'm finally here to make my parents proud.

Last night, I took a look at the blog I originally started with:

I told myself that would never go back there. You see, I wrote a post on "How to get a girl." The way I wrote it offended some good friends which, I never meant to do. But somehow things got a little sour and that was the end of me on that blog. I haven't spoken to them in more than a year. There were other events that lead to this, but I don't want to get too much in detail. I realize that I'm not a perfect person and I'm capable of making mistakes and stupid decisions. I just wanted to take this time to apologize for all the harm and disrespect that I've done to certain folks on that blog. What I did was stupid. I know this now. I was just a naive self absorbed person trying to get his 10 seconds of fame. I don't have anything against these guys. In fact, my love for Japanese music was influenced by TsujiEriku. This man, introduced me to the pop side of Japanese music. I'm not going to lie, I used to love listening to Morning Musume, Berryz, etc etc but eventually I just grew out of that genre of music. I began looking for Western influenced Japanese Music. Anyways, I just wanted to tell him, whether he likes me as a friend or not, I respect him and I regret for the events that lead to this sour friendship. These guys at youropiniondoesntcount are crazy odd and interesting and that's what makes them unique. In all respect, I hope they all will live happy lives. Even if I don't see them again, I will continue to wish them a genki life.

You're probably asking, why...why are you telling us this? Good question. I believe as a person, I've grown. For the things I didn't understand before, I understand them now. What's up everyone. Today, I want to share with you my favorite music video's. If you're like me, you are tired of the music in the USA. Don't get me wrong there are some really great songs in the US and there are a lot of music that is just crap. Music over in the US is not original anymore especially in the rap genre. White tee, king of wherever, you got this got that, you got to club get yo' drink on...whatever. That message and hook is old. Tell me something new. This is partly the reason why I look for music around the world. There is a vast amount of talent out there that has yet to be seen by the US. Anyways, I'm rambling. Are you ready for my all time favorite vids? No? Fuck you then! I'm kidding. Here we go!

I'll start with my all time favorite.

Motherland-Crystal Kay

This song has got to be my all time favorite. I have been a fan of Crystal Kay for many years now. Her voice will captivate you. Even if you don't understand what the heck she is saying, you can admire the skill and poise she has in her voice. Simply Beautiful. I'm hoping she will come out with a new album soon. I'm also hoping she does more collaborations with Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis(Janet Jackson's producers). Crystal Kay to me by far is the most talented singer I've seen around the world.

The Grace-My Everything

The Grace has came a long way since they first started. This ballad is what made me want to get into Korean music a little more. Not only are these girls beautiful, but when you hear their voices you'll notice an angelic harmony that leaves you in awe. How can such beautiful voices come from Asian women? Definitely, the break the mold of skill and professionalism when it comes to becoming an entertainer in the asian music industry.

Sayan Supa Crew

This French Hip hop crew is hottt! I remember picking up a cd while I was in Las Vegas a couple years back. It was a French Hip Hop cd called "Le Flow" and this group was on it. The song on that cd was called "Darkness." That song was bad ass! Anyway, their style and originality in their music is what we need here in the US.

Lastly, let me bring it back to the USA. It wouldn't be fair for me to go international and forget the place that laid the foundation for most music we hear outside it. This group is very underrated but they have skills and always have a positive message in their music. They are called the Procussions. Every song that I've heard from them are off the chain. Wassup folks,

I hope everyone is having a great weekend. Make sure to keep yourselves warm. It's pretty chilly out there. I need to stock up on some thick ass blankets. My blankets are losing their warmness.I should stop by the BKc SF and visit my boy Gabe. There was a hoodie that was mad fresh. Yeh, I said it "MAD FRESH!" If its not raining tomorrow (I doubt it) I'll stop by.

Anyways, it's been a pretty busy day. I've been working on my graphic projects for work all day. I'm almost done. I am actually pretty excited that my job called on me to do some graphic design work. I've been getting one project after another. It's really cool because I get to use my knowledge and skills at work while learning about the business. Doing all this work made my room a bloody mess. Man, so much paper and sketches. I have to clean this up...

Oh how's your japanese? Did Yan san help you out? いいえ？大丈夫。日本語はがんばれよ！Keep at it. Whatever new language your learn just keep at it. I've been watching those damn YAN san vids. I was watching MSNBC before I left for work today and they showed an interesting picture that blew me away. Check this out, this is a picture taken by NASA's Spirit Rover last November.

Do you see it? In the center there seems to be a human like figure. Can you see it now? What do you think? My mind wants me to believe that its some sort of martian. Let's Cook OKONOMIYAKI!!!!

What's cooked like a pancake and taste oh so good? Wrong! It's Okonomiyaki! This delicious Japanese dish was something I had while I was in Fukuoka. I never knew of this dish until my girlfriend introduced me to it. Okonomiyaki is made up of flour, egg, cabbage, assorted meats, vegetables, firewood fish flakes(or Katsuo), mayonnaise, and okonomi sauce. You can pretty much put whatever your want in here. For those who haven't tried this dish, its a must have. If you live in the Bay Area California, the closest place that I know of that sells this dish is in Japan Town in San Francisco. Here's a picture of Okonomiyaki provided by The Tasty Island.

Okonomiyaki ha oishiso desune? Well, probably to the eyes of some it may not look like the most delicious thing in the world, but when you sink your mouth into this treat you'll feel like you're in heaven. Try finding a Japanese restaurant around your area and ask if they cook Okonomiyaki.

For those who can't make it out to a Japanese restaurant, don't worry. Here's a link to get you started in creating this dish. OKONOMIYAKI

You can make this dish at home. It's quite easy. Here's my version of okonomiyaki with not so traditional ingredients:

To make this Okonomiyaki American style here's a list of ingredients:

1cup of buttermilk pancake mix

3/4cup of water

1cup of diced chuck eye steak(or any meat of your choice)

bar b q sauce

mayonnaise

and rice seasoning(with seaweed and sesame seed)

2 cap full of vegetable oil

This is how you put it together:

1. Mix the 1cup buttermilk pancake mix and 3/4 cup of water in a bowl. Mix until all lumps are gone. Your batter should have a fine texture to it.

2. Take the 1 cup of diced chuck eye steak and cook it until meat is fully cooked.

3. Add cooked steak to batter. Stir into batter turns a slight brown.

4. It's recommended that you cook this on a flat pan. If you don't have one then don't worry.

5. Heat pan at medium temperature. Then add the 2 cap full of vegetable oil.

6. When the the oil is bubbling add half of the batter to the pan.

7. Heat up both sides until brown. The tricky part is flipping it. Good luck with that.

8. Once both sides are browned. Pour about a quarter size amount of mayonnaise on the okonomiyaki. Then add about the same amount of bar b q sauce. Mix the two together. Keep in mind the Okonomiyaki is still on the pan. So you have to do this quickly.

9. Finally, add the rice sprinkles and firewood fish flakes. Then Viola! Okonomiyaki American style!

This will cook approximately two servings. Make sure to eat with rice. Why? Well, it just taste better with rice. You might not get it right the first time, but don't fret. Practice makes perfect. Enjoy your meal everyone. Good luck! Tabemasho!

For about a year now, I've been trying to find the best method for me to learn Japanese. My girlfriend is Japanese. I wanted to learn the language so that we can one day have conversations all in Japanese. I've picked up books and audio tapes and nothing seemed to work. Recently, by accident I came upon a series of videos that would help me learn Japanese quickly and easily.

Welcome to the world of YAN. He's a somewhat pudgy nerdy gaijin(Foreigner) who travelled to Japan to learn about Architecture. Yan san finds himself living amongst the Japanese people and gets into different day to day situations that we all can relate to. Even though these videos were created in 1984, they still prove to be a great method for some to learn Nihongo(Japanese). Check the first vid out. If you like be sure to look at the others. I've been a fan of hip hop music for a very long time. I've also been a big critic of todays rap music and how it has affected our youth. I respect where most rappers are coming from. They rap what they know and what they've been through. Even though their message is about their struggle, rappers have to realize that when they speak they are influencing the young kids. Rap has taken away the positive energy that Hip Hop was trying to achieve. Hip hop gave kids and people on the street a positive outlet to get them away from all the drug and violence. Todays Rappers have taken that positivity away and replaced it by glorifying the gangster/thugged out style. Here's a great 10minute video about the Death of Hip hop. The damn french has done it again. While the name Fonky Family sounds a little cheesy, what's not cheesy is there rhyme style. The Fonky Family delivers a fresh hip hop sound. If you're a fan of hip hop you'll definitely love this track.I actually heard this track back in high school. My boy Ben and I used to watch this show called CYK2 and this particular track was on it. It was very similar to Jackass but CYK came before them. Mistake me if I'm wrong but CYK2 was the original "Jackass." Anyways both has crazy white boys doing stupid shit. Fun stuff. Good morrow everyone! Long time right? Well, a lot has been going on these past months. Mostly graphic design. I went to the Cut and Paste event that was held in September. I have to say it was one of the most memorable experiences in Art and Design. To see one on the spot dueling it out on computer was like something out of a MC battle. Here's a vid from this event.

What else. Oh I visited my good long time friend from Elementary. Turns out he is one of the designers for The Brooklyn Circus! I actually saw him at the Cut and Paste event. Small world eh? He just opened up a shop in San Francisco called The Brooklyn Circus SF. I had to show my boy Gabe some love so I stopped by to support him. If you haven't checked out the Brooklyn Circus peep this.

Here's a game that got me feigning for more. The game is called Bioshock. It's for the XBox 360. It's tight, and freaking addicting. What can I say about this game, but its fun, it has guns, and you have the ability to conjure special powers with your left hand...or is it right? hmmm, anyway, here are some clips to hype this game up.

Tasha Reid is by far one of the most talented half black and korean artist to date. Her music is not only inspirational, it is a message. Her music really shows that music is universal. It doesn't matter where you are from . Music is a powerful tool that can bring people together. It can also tear people apart. We have to appreciate music and the culture of music for it has been in our generation for many many years. Music is definitely something great. I don't care what color you are. To me I don't see a persons skin color. When the music starts playing, no matter what skin color you are, you can vibe to the same tune and forgot about lifes worries. Tasha Reids song is just that. He song "Black Happiness" according to the poster, doolee10 on youTube, this song is about her life and struggle against prejudice and finding her identity in Korea. Definitely, a moving rap song. Crystal Kay's album titled "All Yours" is finally out! I must say that I am not surprised. I mean this in a good way because when it comes to Crystal Kay's music I am never dissappointed. Her new album has an array of nice ballads and uptempo beats. If your a fan of Crystal Kay, you can expect the same vocal goodness she has brought to her many albums. If your new to the game, expect to be wowed by this beautiful and talented singer. By far, my favorite song is "Sugar Rain." This track carries the elements I love in music. It's hip hop, rnb, smooth, and rich with beautiful tones. Another track I'm feeling is "Last Kiss." The track is smooth and has lots of emotion.

Greetings fellow bloggers. You know yesterday was actually the first time in a long time that I was REALLY able to see the stars. The night sky is so beautiful once you stop and look at what it has to offer.

Anyways, I just came back from a couple of parties. Its always fun getting together with family and friends. Great music sends great vibes. Speaking of which, here's a song that always gets me hyped.

She is half African American and Korean. Haha, she's just like Crystal Kay! Although I think Crystal Kay is better. Anyways, Tasha Ried has a beautiful singing voice. Welcome back to Bento Beat Boxing. Sorry to have kept you waiting! Over the past couple of months I couldn't decide what kind of theme and topics I wanted to post . Lately, I've been listening to a lot of Korean Music. There are some groups that are ho-hum, but this group I'm about to introduce is phenomenal. They are called CSJH. These girls surprised me with their vocal prowess. I couldn't believe what was coming out of their mouths. Simply pure talent is what these girls have.
